Isabelle Iff
DVM, Dr. med. vet., Dipl. ECVAA, CertVetAc (IVAS), LicAc (BAWMA), MRCVS
After completing her studies, Isabelle Iff discovered her passion for anaesthesia, pain therapy and intensive care medicine during a rotating internship at the Vetsuisse Faculty of the University of Bern. She specialized and has been a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia since 2006 and is a recognized European specialist.
She combined her interest in pain management and complementary medicine with training in animal acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine from the International Acupuncture Society (IVAS). She worked as a Senior Clinical Anaesthetist at the University of Liverpool Animal Hospital and as a locum in the UK and Canada. From 2011 to 2016 she worked at Veterinary Anaesthesia Services in Winterthur as a consultant in veterinary anaesthesia and pain management. With further training in osteopathy and traditional Chinese herbal therapy, she continues to deepen her knowledge of complementary medicine.
Since the beginning of 2017 she has been working part-time as a senior clinical anaesthetist in the Department of Anesthesiology at Bern Veterinary Hospital and has founded her own company. She has initiated several chronic pain management services at the institutions she has worked at. Isabelle is interested in everything to do with pain therapy and anaesthesia in animals, with a particular focus on complementary medical methods and the individual care of animals in pain. Alongside her daily practical work, she regularly speaks at national and international congresses.
