Terms & Conditions (AGB)

Last updated: 8 July 2026

1. Registration

By registering, you acknowledge and accept the terms and conditions of VASTA and Veterinary Anaesthesia Services-International GmbH (VAS) as binding. Your registration becomes legally binding upon our confirmation (via email or letter). This also includes the confirmation of the accuracy of the information provided regarding eligibility for participation. Eligible are veterinary practice assistants, veterinary nurses/technicians, and veterinarians; other qualifications may be considered and require individual assessment. For each module, you will receive a written invitation via email.

2. Reservations

We reserve the right to cancel the VASTA course or individual modules due to insufficient participation up to 10 business days before the event and to offer an alternative solution (new date, electronic course delivery in the form of webinars, etc.). If the event or parts of the event must be cancelled due to force majeure, important reasons (e.g., illness of the speaker), or legally binding regulations (travel or assembly restrictions, etc.), participants will be informed immediately. Claims for damages are excluded. VASTA and VAS reserve the right to replace announced speakers with others in exceptional cases and to change the program schedule.

3. Cancellation

If you are unable to attend an already booked course, please cancel in writing (via email) at least 15 days before the event starts. For cancellations made later, we reserve the right to charge you fees*. For rescheduling (within 10 business days before the event starts) to a later course, we charge a rescheduling fee of CHF 150 or its equivalent in the course currency. The participation of a substitute person (in the case of the entire VASTA course, i.e., all modules) is possible at no additional cost. For cancellations or rescheduling of courses, seminars, workshops, etc., outside of VASTA and VAS-associated training facilities, we also reserve the right to charge cancellation or rescheduling costs for travel and other expenses. *14–7 days before the event: 50% of the participation fee; 6–0 days before the event: 80% of the participation fee.

4. Payment

The course fee has been previously agreed upon in writing or is specified in the registration form. The fee is payable immediately upon receipt of the invoice without deduction (within 30 days). In general, the fee must be paid BEFORE the event starts. Other arrangements require written consent from VASTA/VAS. Any outstanding course fees must be paid before the first day of the respective session. If payment has not been received by the first day of the session, the 10% down payment is forfeited and the place may be released. This applies without prejudice to the cancellation conditions in clause 3.

5. Copyright

The course materials and all associated content (specifically including presentation materials and PDF versions thereof) are protected by copyright. Duplication, distribution, or other use of the course materials or parts thereof or additional materials and information is only permitted with the explicit written permission of VASTA/VAS.

6. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, VASTA and VAS accept no liability for damages arising from the application of the content provided or any other damages to participants or third parties, nor for damages incurred during the courses to participants or third parties. Accident and health insurance are the responsibility of the participants. VASTA and VAS are not liable for accidents, theft, property damage, or personal effects.

7. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

Swiss law applies. The place of jurisdiction is Winterthur, Switzerland.

The Data Protection Clause that applies to registration is published on our Privacy Policy & Data Protection page.
