This page is maintained by VASTA SCHOOL, operated by Veterinary Anaesthesia Services International GmbH (hereinafter "VAS Int®"), to explain how we collect, use, and protect the personal information you provide when you register for our programme, contact us, or browse this website. It also sets out the Data Protection Clause you accept when registering.
Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
VASTA SCHOOL — Veterinary Anaesthesia School, operated by VAS International. For any privacy-related question you can contact us at info.vasta@vas-int.com.
2. Information we collect
When you submit the registration form we collect your name, email address, phone number (optional), country of residence, preferred course location, profession, years of experience, how you heard about us, and any notes you choose to share.
3. How we use your information
- To process your registration and confirm your placement.
- To communicate with you about the programme and logistics.
- To improve our courses and understand where our students come from.
- To send occasional updates about VASTA when relevant to your enrolment.
4. Legal basis
We process your data on the basis of your consent (given when you tick the agreement box on the registration form) and, where applicable, to perform the contract of enrolment between you and VASTA SCHOOL.
5. Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with service providers that help us operate the school (for example our hosting and email providers) and with local course organisers when required to arrange your attendance.
6. Retention
We keep registration data for as long as needed to manage your participation in the programme and to meet our administrative and legal obligations.
7. Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing us at info.vasta@vas-int.com.
8. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page.
Data Protection Clause for Registration
I consent to Veterinary Anaesthesia Services International GmbH (hereinafter the "VAS Int®") processing the personal data I provide in this form (name, contact details, date of birth, certificates/references, nationality) as well as data collected in the course of the training (grades, attendance, health data for the organisation of excursions/support) for the purposes of admission, contract processing, delivery of the course and the issuing of certificates.
1. International Data Transfer and Service Providers
I am aware that the VAS Int, as an international organisation, may transfer personal data to partner organisations, examination bodies or cloud-based IT service providers (e.g. learning platforms, CRM systems) that are also based outside Switzerland or the European Union (third countries). The Institute ensures that in such cases an adequate level of data protection is guaranteed through Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC) or equivalent safeguards.
2. Storage Period and Disclosure
Your data will only be stored for as long as is necessary to fulfil the training contract or to comply with statutory retention obligations. Data will only be disclosed to third parties where this is necessary for the delivery of the training (e.g. examination registrations) or is required by law.
3. Your Rights
I may request information about the data stored about me by the Institute at any time. I also have the right to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, and data portability. I may revoke any consent I have given to data processing at any time with effect for the future.

5. Storage Abroad in Compliance with Strict Data Protection Standards
I am expressly aware of and agree that my data may be stored and hosted on servers abroad (including in countries outside Switzerland and the EU/EEA). The Institute and its external hosting service providers contractually undertake to fully comply with the strict requirements of the applicable Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) as well as the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) when storing data abroad. This is guaranteed through the use of modern encryption technologies, strict access controls and the conclusion of legally required Standard Contractual Clauses, in order to ensure the full protection of my privacy at all times.
